Shortcut Doctor allows you to check all your links/shortcuts and 
see which contain targets which can no longer be found.  You can 
then delete the shortcuts, resolve them or replace all shortcuts 
pointing to a certain drive or directory with another (after 
validation of new path is made). Individual shortcuts can be 
edited and all shortcuts on a drive can be displayed, regardless 
of whether they are valid or not.  CD-ROM drives or network drives 
can be ignored during processing (see Options). 


New features in v1.0-4.1 include:
- Added digital signing to the program .exe
- Unicode support added and various improvements for Windows
  Vista.
- Switches to control which fields in lnk shortcuts are to 
  be operated on. See F1 hlp for more information.
- Scripts allow for multiple search/replace strings to be 
  processed within a single pass. See F1 hlp on script syntax.
- All local hard drives on a machine can be searched by specifying
  'Local Hard Drives' (no quotes) or 'Lokale Festplatten' (german
  interface users) in the GUI Path field. If a UNC name for a
  share is specified all UNC shares on that machine that you have
  permission for will be searched.
- Output File can be written in append or overwrite mode in
  Options-General or in a script.
- Output can be sent to the windows clipboard by specifying
  'Clipboard' (no quotes) or 'Zwischenablage' (german interface
  users) for the output file.
- A progress meter that can be disabled in the program GUI or 
  in scripts.
- Replacement prompts are more detailed and can be disabled 
  in the program GUI or in scripts.
- 'Check Paths Before Replace' during search/replace now applies 
  to Target, Start In, and Icon path.
- Create .lnk from the command line
- Flat toolbars (which can be turned off with a registry setting)
- Any of the shortcut fields can now be processed even if the target
  does not contain the search string.
- Options allow complex include/exclude file masks for skipping for
  examples shortcuts in the recycle bin.
- Setting/unsetting the tracking flag for network shortcuts is now 
  possible
- Menus display toolbar bitmaps (if any)
- Customizable toolbar
- Add shortcut offers several default locations for the new 
  shortcut.
- Script files, run from the command line, that allow you to do 
  multiple operations, control program options, and easily specify
  complex paths.
- New Directory Picker dialog.
- New About box with live Web and E-MAIL links.
- Searching as well as replacing a target or path in shortcuts is 
  now possible. 
- Allow changing of the icon.
- Shortcut To prefix can now be modified in Options.
- Dragging and dropping a link/shortcut over the main window will 
  display the Edit dialog. 
- Network Drive mappings can be inserted in the Replace dialog 
  automatically. 
- Empty Recent Documents button.
